Grades to get into a good college?

Are my grades good enough to get into a good college?

  • Okay, I know i have a long way to go, but im 14 and I'm already taking classes that will go on my high school transcript. I really wanna go into Cornell because most people in my family went there, but I've heard it's really tough to get into. I'm taking 4 high school classes right now because my school offers them in 8th grade. These are my grades for the third quarter: Algebra - 99 (my highest ever) Earth science - 98 French - 100 Studio in Art - 95 My overall averages for earth science and algebra are probably closer to 97. Oh, and I got 96's for both the earth science and French midterm. I know classes are gonna get harder as I get older, but right now are my grades good enough to get into Cornell (if I keep getting good grades)? Thanks :)

    Yes, but once you're in high school, you will need to take mostly honors and AP classes.

Remember all "considerable applicants" have relatively similar grades, so try to work on ur SAT early, ur essay, and start a club to show leadership. Also do sports. Be well rounded and challenge urself to the max

These grades are great, especially your algebra. If you keep everything up or even if your grades fall a few points you should get in.
