Do you have to go to uni to have a student loan?

Paying back student loan in one chuck??? (UK )?

• please if you don,t know how the UK student loan system works please don't answer because it likely be different in your country... i'm referring to the new system...£9000 a year for fee.... i want to apply for the loan not because i need it but because i need the grant money due to the fact that i live in london which is very expensive but my dad has enough money saved up to pay for the £9000 a year for da 3 years but the grant money will make a huge huge difference as it will help me pay towards accommodation because i can not live at home (tooo far from the uni i want to go) sooo i was thinking ..... i could get a loan and grant and then my dad could give me the lump sum which i'm done to pay it all back at once before the interest rate increases... is that possible????.

  Yes. In fact, it's the best idea as it means your dad can still earn interest on those savings while you're at uni
