What items made in this generation will be worth money in the future?

My first thought would be: Precious metals, gems, and other valuable raw materials. These are always worth something, and rarely depreciate in value. Once one thinks about the present economy, and how inflated gold has gotten, well... let's just say that I wouldn't bet on precious metals to keep growing in value for too many more years. Other than that, there are few definite commodities that will increase with value over time. There will definitely be a collector's market for cultural items in the future. I honestly don't know what that can be, but you should look into commodities that have done favorably well in the past. These include paintings, statues and video games. If you are thinking of something digital, it is important to keep the original hardware as well. No one's going to buy a video you downloaded off of you tube. They will, on the other hand, buy the camera Justin Bieber used to make his video, especially if the video is still there. In short, I would recommend something that has had historical successes, but honestly, anything's fair game. The most cliche anecdote to end this on is that of Van Gogh. During his life time, he only sold one of his paintings. 100 years later, one of his paintings sold for 150 million USD.
