How does someone get on ESPN?

ESPN commentators or NBA on TNT commentators?

  • Sorry but I can't stand the ESPN commentators (except Barry and Magic). Michael Wilbon can be so freakin biased and i feel like he's giving me a lecture. Every time someone disagrees with him, he raises his voice and gets more heated until he gets louder than the other dude. Chris seems just as inarticulate as when Justin Timberlake tries to speak smart. Magic still keeps his cool. The TNT commentators are cool. No one can break the chemistry of EJ, Kenny, and Chuck and when it does get loud, it's still professional and you can tell there's still respect there (and even brutal honesty). Agree? Disagree?

    I like TNT commentators and analysts better. The only commentators I really can stand on ESPN are Jeff Van Gundy and Chris Mullin.

I'm on the fence with this one. ESPN still continues to use Mike Tirico for NBA games, and he's one of the worst commentators I've ever heard. He mixes up last names and can't think quickly enough, whereas Hubie Brown is super old, and never skips a beat when he's doing his job. I think TNT would be a whole lot better if they got rid of Marv Albert and Reggie Miller, and replaced them with Chuck and Kenny/EJ. They should keep Kevin Harlan too, he's always consistent and does a good job. If you're only talking about the half-time and post-game commentators, then I'd have to go with TNT. The guys on ESPN can be jerks most of the time and take everything way too seriously. I actually enjoy watching Chuck, EJ, Kenny, and Shaq because they have entertainment value and a good sense of humor.
