How to make something that shows how tidal energy works?

The speed of light , light, and energy?

  • So here are a few questions that I have! 1. The speed of light in reference to light is" infinite, time never passes. So that means that when we measure the speed of light being 299,792,458 m/s that it had to be measured outside of light. But the faster you go the slower everything else goes and the earth isn't staying still in the universe so is the speed of light measured from the perspective of the earth or from the perspective of a still point in space? 2. So no Energy can be created or destroyed. So if I had a heat converter that was able to pick up all of the heat lost by friction and convert it into electricity and then put that in a car then I assume that I would have infinite energy. Why is this not possible? Explanation of number 2: Potential energy of one gallon of gas -> kinetic energy -> heat caused by friction of atoms around it -> converter -> Potential energy of some sort of battery. 3. Why does light move "slower" in 0 kelvin. I understand that light's speed is constant but how does a lack of energy around light make it take longer to get from point A to point B 4. Is there a set number of photons or does something like the sun send out an infinite amount of light. Think of it this way, lets say that the size of a photon is "1" and the surface area of an imaginary sphere one meter away from a light source can hold "350". If I were to go around that light source along the sphere no matter where I was I would still see light. Now if we enlarge that sphere to 100 meters away then the sphere would be able to hold "35000" (I know that this isn't how spheres and surface area works) So then you would only be able to see the light source once every "10" but in real life there aren't gaps. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

  • Answer:

    1. Light is a constant, so if the Sun was to hurl light at us while moving at 100,000,000 m/s light would still be 299,792,458m/s not 399,792,458m/s. This means that using our known movement speeds we can calculate the speed. Plus there is a plethora of other methods to do this that i do not know. 2. This is down to Entropy. This is the cause of everything cheating it would not be fair. So how it works is that if you have 100 units of energy, a conversion must convert it to other types. ALL other types, but mainly to one type. This means that energy is lost in useless ways. (ie. light in a mechanical system) 3. IDK 4. In real life there are actually gaps in light. BUT there is so much light that either we do not see the light at all, or it just appears faint. Cheers
