Who is stronger Luffy or Sabo?

Who thinks luffy from one piece and goku from dragonball z act the same?

  • in my opinion i think that they both act the same because they both have a big apetite and also they act silly when nothing serious is going on. But when something bad happens they both get serious. Goku goes super saiyan and starts to kick some ***. Then luffy he goes all out when he starts fighting an enemy. And you can tell he gets serios by the expressions on his face. Like I remember the episode when luffy fought crocodile. On the first battle, luffy gets stabbed by crocodiles hook but somehow survives. Then he came back and started kicking crocodiles ***. Goku and luffy are awesome and i think they are very much alike. What do you think?

    Oda already said it. Oda said that Luffy is partly inspired by DBZ and Goku. So yeah, they are similar to each other.

Many characters have similar traits in their given genres. Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, Luffy, Gon, Yusuke, Sonic . . . you could draw similarites with many major characters.

Well, I haven't seen One Piece, but You're probably right. There is a pretty distinct anime formula that shows up in a bunch of animes. (I'll list examples from DragonBall Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Sonic X) There's the somewhat goofy main character/hero (Goku, Yugi, Sonic), the funny but sweet sidekick (Krillin, Joey, none), the sidekick's lazy but short tempered sidekick (Yamcha, Tristan, none), the brave girl love interest (Chi-Chi, Tea, Amy), the genius (Bulma, Rebecca, Tails), the anti-social friend of the hero (Piccolo, Duke, Knuckles), and the anti-hero (Vegeta, Seto, Shadow). As you can see (I hope :P) this pattern shows up in tons of animes, so I wouldn't surprise me if it's there in One Piece too.

I see a great resemblence between Luffy and Goku, in fact did you know Toriyama and Oda wrote a crossover manga called "Cross Epoch" and Goku and Luffy worked together in there. Other teamups in the manga include: Vegeta and Robin, Trunks and Ussop (who all had demon horns lol), Kuririn and Chopper, Bulma and Nami (Bulma and Nami were theives), Roshi and Sanji (the two resident perverts) and the villans were none other than Buggy and Pilaf lol But it's not only Luffy who took after Goku, there's Naruto, Toriko, Yusuke, Ichigo etc
