How To Tell When Invisible People Are On Skype?

I dont know what to do about skype in my wow guild?

  • Okay, so I'd just like to say I am 13 years old (Internet predators stay back! :D). I have been playing WoW since I was 11 years old and I have been very mature all the way through and sometimes more than a lot of the adults. People in WoW, however do not like "kids" like me doing stuff with them or playing with them. I don't know what it is, but i think it might be because they just prefer adult company and think all of us kids are under the category of imbeciles. It could be that they think we don't pick up the game as fast? I do pick up the game fast and I am considered on my realm (I'm not naming any chars or realms) a good pvper but they don't know im only 13. I have lied about my age on it loads of times, just so i don't get kicked out of raids, or get excluded from guilds etc. Okay now for my real question: I was doing a For the Horde raid the other day and we had done 3 bosses but could not do Stormwind. Many people were leaving and sombody asked if anyone would want to join his pvp guild. I whispered him to say I was still getting epireance on my druid and that I would join him when I was fully geared etc. He said it was to do with gearing and just plain pvp and said i should just join. It was a cozy guild if you know what I mean. Only around 3-4 people online (It's only lvl 2) and i started doing some stuff helping out the guild and was promoted up to a high rank. I thought now I'm a high rank i should start helping the guild more and going to the events and that was then I signed up for the Random Battleground Event we are doing tomorrow. There is about 3 or 4 people signed up and the guild leader said we will need some way to communicate. I shuddered at that moment. He said we were all gona use skype, so I said I don't have a mic (But I do), then he said "ohhhh, wait how old are you?". I couldn't tell him my real age... So I told him I was 17. he said go ask your parents if they have a mic or if i go to gym get one on the way back. Now I havn't been on WoW since and am planning not to go on until after tomorrow... They will just exclude me if I go on skype with my unbroken kiddy soundish voice... I feel like im at a disadvantage here because I can only do arena with my bro and his friends on skype and cant to Rbgs because my voice hasnt broken... What should I do? Should I tell them I'm 13? Lie to them then slowly tell them? Cut them off? I don't know what to do... HELP!? :P P.S: Don't hate on me too just because I lied and i'm 13... just help me please... thanks so much :), ~ James

  • Answer:

I can't really say much for them only being 14 myself but I don't mind playing with people younger on stuff because I love playing WoW and Assassin's creed with my cousins (Who range age 9-12) but they don't act really young These people might be the same so they might not mind of it

I've been in your situation. Dude if your really that concerned there could be effects on your mic or at least addons that can hide and deepen your voice. Don't tell em your 13; you'll get mocked like hell. If something liek this happens you can still pull the "mic isnt working" and try to prolong it but...

well James, i haven't been in a situation like this(no i won't hate you :D) well there was this dude once on TV, he was an adult and his voice hadn't cracked yet, so if you want you could just say your voice hasn't cracked yet, or such, its not your fault if they don't believe you :/ PS you could try a voice changer program :D to make your voice sound older etc etc, its your choice
