What are some good modern hardcore punk bands?

  • I love the old hardcore scene from the 80's Black flag, Circle Jerks, Cro-mags, Minor Threat. Their all awesome bands in my book but I want to know some of the good modern Hardcore bands are and if they're any good and I mean hardcore. I ask people and they give me list of deathcore or grindcore bands I don't want to listen to that I want Hardcore Punk bands thank you

There are no good new bands. There hasnt been in 12 or so years now.

Come Back Kid Such Gold Handguns some bands that aren't really hardcore but are pretty good are: Make Do and Mend Thrice Touche Amore Defeater La Dispute Crime in Stereo Glassjaw Tigers Jaw Refused Fugazi hope this helped a little bit (some of this is called "Post-Hardcore" and its not that whiny bull that people promote like Black FAIL Brides and stuff this stuff is the real deal)

I know where you're coming from. Green Day? Really? WHY DO THESE PEOPLE EVEN BOTHER? I would recommend you check out Ceremony from San Francisco. They're not full-on hc since they change their sound for pretty much every album, but Rohnert Park and Violence Violence are really good albums. You should also check out Soul Swallower, Natural Law, Trash Talk, Cult Ritual, Nazi Dust, Punch and Dangers.
