Why do I have red veins in my eyes?

Are Red Veins in Eyes Unattractive?

• I am a 35 year old female who is very self-conscious about prominent red veins in the whites of my eyes. Each eye has one that runs from the inner corner to the "blue" part of my eyes. Otherwise my eyes are white. I do not have dry eye or eye strain, and my vision is excellent. My question is, is this something that I should be self-concious about? It causes me great anxiety that my eyes are not "white" entirely and I feel ugly, even though otherwise I am attractive enough for my age. How much do others notice the red veins in other people's eyes? Are red veins in eyes normal?

  All of us are mostly focused on ourselves. The name for it is self-absorbed and it is just part of being human. Were you to ask everyone who had seen you in the past week what you should be self-conscious about, you would get a different answer from each person. Probably no one has ever noticed except you, yourself. How many people have you seen today with one pimple? How many people do you think have obsessed over having a pimple today. We always see ourselves more acutely than we see anyone else. Although this goes both ways, you should be sad about it, and reassured. Nobody notices, but you.
