Is an occupational therapist a good career choice?

Is becoming a physical therapist a good career choice, looking for 1st hand opinions, not data.?

  • I've read all the BLS data and information from various job sites and salary scales....I want to get first-hand opinions from people who work as PTs or know a PT. Thanks!

    YES ! A great career choice. There will always be patients who need P.T. This will never go away. And the good thing is you have several options as to where you can work. Hospitals, private P.T. practices, and some even work on their own, going to peoples homes, etc. And the more you learn, the better you can market yourself, and the more money you can make.

Plan on a total of at least 7 years in school. If you are smart enough, and can put forth the time and effort, a PT career can be very rewarding. They have some of the highest job satisfaction rates in the country, and a good salary to go along with it!
