Is There An Online Application To Apply For A Job At Staples?

Do i have to provide my social security number when applying for a job online?

I'm applying to staples online since they won't let me apply in store. I don't want to put in my social security on to the application but it is a required field for me to apply. Can I just enter zero's into the box until I've been promised the job so I can put my application in?
