What career should I take?

What University Courses should I take and what sort of career options are out there?

• Hi, I am a Senior High School student ( Age 17 ) who is about to enter post-secondary education next year. I'll soon have to apply for University courses later this year and I have no clue what courses I should take or what career I should pursue. I think I will be able to enter 'most' courses if my consistent good grades continues ( fingers crossed ). A general idea of what job I want to pursue is a job which requires innovative thinking ( creating or improving products ) or a job involving people, society etc. People with what jobs create new products in technology firms like Google? Are they all software engineers? I heard many jobs that exist today never existed a decade ago.. which is pretty frightening if you ask me... So which course should I take!? A flexible course that could possibly teach me skills that I could apply to various/future jobs.. I'm in a puddle of mess right now.. I know.. so many questions and zero answers.. If you have any advice or any comment that could help me out, please post below! I really want to find the dream job for me. Dreams become goals when you figure out what steps you need to take in order to make them true. If this is right, I want to find what I want to do fast and plan the steps I need to take in order to have that job in the future. Cheers :D

  Engineering or Industrial Design sound like a good match. However, you really should be seeing a career counsellor if you have no idea. Have a look at the job descriptions for these types of roles and that will help you determine if they suit you.
