Answer:
Your high school classes are irrelevant to any future as a lawyer. All you need from high school is to take classes that will prepare you for college and do well in them. After high school, you need to earn a four year college degree. Your major doesn't matter. My majors were Criminal Justice and Sociology. Some of my friends had majors in political science, psychology, history, biology, etc. You just need to pick a major that interests you and that you will do well in. I would encourage you to take as many writing classes that are available and any and all logic classes. But candidly, there were only perhaps two or three classes I took during college that I thought were helpful in preparing me for law school. Your goal in college is to get the best grades you can earn. In your third or fourth year of college you will take the LSAT (essentially the SAT for "wanna be" lawyers.) You can be a 4.0 student but if you don't do marginally well on the LSAT you will not get into a law school. (There are scores of LSAT prep courses out there but I'm not convinced they make THAT big of a difference. The LSAT measures logic - and some people are naturally very logical and some people simply are not. I don't think an illogical person can really be taught logic - but I can't say I've done any extensive research on the subject. If you do well in college (at least a 3.5 GPA) and you get at least an average score on the LSAT (around 150), you'll be able to get into law school. Law school is generally three years. After law school, you have a jurisdoctorate degree but you are not a lawyer yet. Now you have to take the bar exam in the state you want to be a lawyer in. The bar exams differ by state - some states are notoriously difficult (California, New York and Nevada, for example). Most states offer the bar exam twice per year: In July and in December. And it can take several weeks to find out the results. Once you take and pass the bar exam, you will be a licensed attorney.

Take government, economics, history based classes. You also need to decide what type of lawyer you want to be. Tax, civil, criminal, environmental... You have 4 years of college and then 3 years of law school
