Is it better to start as a paralegal before law school?

Is it too late to start law school at 36?

  • Hi ,I am from Calcutta,West Bengal,India. I am 36 yrs old bachelor male & I have a B.Sc. & MBA. But I want to pursue law because I want to be a lawyer. Mainly because of the power and prestige it gives & the social security added with it. Will it be a right decision for me? Where can I pursue a regular law degree at this age?

  • Answer:

Nope. The only time that it's too late is when you're either in the age where no one will hire you, or if you're dead. But yeah, if you start now, you should be able to finish in a few years and if you can manage to work until you're 70 or 75 then you can work for about 30+ years.

If you start now, you'll be 40 years when you finish the degree. If you live still 70 you still enjoy your being a lawyer for some 30 years.
