Can I get hired as a server without experience?

How do I get hired to work in a bar with no experience?

  • Hi, I currently work in mickeyd's right now and I want to start working in a place that pays ya in tips and I'm a worker that has a very strong work ethic and I am punctual. according to one of my managers, I'm one of the best he's had in a while. that makes me feel that I could use these attributes towards a different workplace like a bar. the thing is, I don't have any experience. are there places are there that hire people that don't have experience working as a bartender? I know there's bartending schools but I feel like they don't count as experience because you don't get paid for your education, you pay them. I think there's a paradox that I want to break because how are you supposed to get hired as a bartender if you have no experience? how do I get experience working as a bartender that does NOT have me drink any alcohol? I can't drink because i'm a muslim and its bad for me.

In case you did not know brother, it is not only forbidden (haraam) for us Muslims to drink alcohol, but also to work (or hang out) in places where alcohol is present. 1) get a training course behind you. A qualification is just as good as experience if you have none. 2) explain to your supervision your religious requests and they will be understandable. Remember it is against the law in most countries to fire you on the grounds of religion
