How do you move to a Personal Assistant?

Going to school to become a medical assistant, how to move up?

  • I'm going to a technical school to become a medical assistant, just to get my foot in the door. is this a good first move? Than i'm considering going on to become a physicians assistant. From what i have researched it pays great and it is very rewarding. Am i headed in the right direction? What would be good for me? I know i want to work in the medical field, like in a hospital or busy doctors office setting..is this plan good? or would something like RN be more suited for me? help please?

  • Answer:

Well, the medical assistant job will give you patient contact hours for a PA program. However, most tech schools' credits do not transfer to a university. A PA would give you the opportunity to work at both of those settings depending on what you specialize in.
