Is there less of a demand for Pediatric nurses?

How is the Demand for Registered nurses in new york city?

  • Hello all, I am in a Bachelors of Science Program in Nursing and I'm 20. Im going to get my degree with very little debt when I am 23. I just want to know what you all know or think about the demand for registered nurses in NYC? I hear people saying that there is a big demand for nurses, because the population is only increasing and there always a demand in health care. Is this really true and should I be worried about finding a good job? Also how is the salary? And the respect. Is the respect for registered nurses good? How would it be compared to physician assistant? RN is better right? I love the RN profession But I want to know what you all know about it. Thanks.

Look at the Sunday paper and see how man hospitals are looking for nurses. Ceck hospital websites for open positions. Ask how many open requisitions they have when you are doing your clinical. Ask your preceptor how hard it was for him/her to find their job.
