What are some careers in the medical field that dont require many years of study?

    Physical therapist is often a masters-level program. A physical therapist assistant or occupational therapy assistant is often a 2 year program. RN can be between a 2 and 4 year program. Respiratory therapist is usually a 2 year program. Medical lab tech is usually 2 years long. Dental hygienist is usually a 2 year program. Dental assistant is usually a certificate but not sure on the length. LPN is usually a diploma and is usually a year long. CNA will vary depending on your state. Paramedic is usually about 12-18 months depending on the anatomy portion of it.

Scrub tech (aka: surgical tech) in my state is VERY intensive, but only 8 months long and you get to be IN the OR, assisting the surgeon on actual surgeries.
