What kind of jobs do they have in Germany?

What jobs are offered in the UK for people who studied theology and social pedagogy (?) ?

• We're maybe gonna move to our relatives the UK soon, but we don't know what jobs are offered there for my parents. They both studied theology ans social pedagogy (I don't know if these words exist, but maybe you can guess it). Unfortunately our relatives have no idea of this kind of jobs, they didn't even go to university so I hope you can help me. They are pastoralreferents, maybe you've heard of this job, but I'm afraid it only exists in Germany. Well of course it would be great if the wages weren't less, or at least not much.   I have never heard of social pedagogy before now. I have never heard of pastoral-referents either, it sound like they are church social workers. As you know, people in Germany pay taxes to the state church, and the state church provides some social service from government funding, and charity. In the UK, though while there is still charity, most of these service are provided by government services. Perhaps your parents can find work in social work. In the US, most protestant ordained ministers have day jobs. I know one guy who works as a paralegal, another as a accountant, a third as a teacher and a fourth as a insurance agent. Honestly only the insurance agent preached good sermons. And these were Presbyterians! God gave these talented men a heart for the ministry, he also gave them the way to earn a living. I am sure your talented parents will find something, but it may not be related to their professional degrees.
