What is a good fast career in the medical field?

Good medical field career?

  • Currently I am in community college. I was going to pursue a degree in Nursing but I am beginning to noitce it is not for me. However I still want a career in the medical field. I want a job where I can work in the hospital setting, maybe even have some patient contact. Like perhaps phlebotomy but what are other options besides phlebotomy? What are some careers in the lab i can pursue? (and also good salary). I still want to get a bachlors degree and everything I don't want a simple training to get the job, I wana be challenged. Thanks ! (:

    X-ray tech or sonogram tech are both great paying fields. Either one can be obtained as a two yr or four yr degree.

I don't see why you cant do nursing. The other fields pay horribly and you'll have more problems if you do phelbotomy or whatever. I spoke to a couple phlebotomists, they hate their jobs. They are probably as or more overworked than nurses. Nursing is an excellent field that is in demand, pays well, respected, and dignified. Look nursing isn't hard.... you just have to study a little and then you work as hard as a phelbotomist. But the benefits of being a nurse is way higher than a phelb or whatever fields they are as a technician. Do nursing man, don't do anyything else.
