If you work in Kroger, how many hours do part-timer work?

Want to apply to Hollister. Anyone work at Hollister?

  • Ok guys, here's the thing. I am in serious need of a job this summer and have been applying to grocery stores like Publix and Kroger and department stores like Sears and JCPenney. They do hire kids under 18 at these stores, but most of their employees are much older. I haven't heard from any of the stores that I have applied to (I have a feeling I never will). People have told me time and again that the best place for a teenager to work is Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch etc. They say it is very easy to get hired there and should not be a problem at all. Some of my friends actually applied at Hollister and got hired within a week. Here's the thing (as Mr. Monk would always say): I am very shy and become extremely nervous in the presence of nice looking girls. I do not know where this problem originated from and why it did in the first place. They are just human beings like the rest of us. For some reason, whenever I see a nice looking girl whose company I would enjoy and would only hope and wish to talk to, my heart starts to beat, my face turns red, and I can no longer speak. I am not sure if these are the symptoms of an anxiety attack or not. So you can see my problem. The employees and clientle at Hollister is mostly comprised of nice looking females. I would be interacting with them on a daily basis, but looking at my condition, I just don't see how I could. I am not strange looking at all, but rather am quite a good looking boy and people have told me that I look like Brad Pitt. I do not mean to be arrogant in anyway, but I am just trying to give an image of how I look. People should not judge others on how they look, but I certainly should not have a problem talking to nice looking girls seeing as how I look. I did muster the courage to go into American Eagle the other day and asked for an application from a male manager, but when I saw the nice looking employees and customers I almost freaked out. I barely kept my cool and walked out of the store in one piece. The manager told me had run out of applications and that I neeeded to go online and download one. I spent hours on the internet (like the dumbass I am) and came to the conclusion that only the store can give you one. I had already figured that since my friends who work at Hollister applied in computers in the store so American Eagle and A and F probably have a similar process. It really hurt my confidence when I could not find the application. I think the manager lied to me because he did not want me to work there. Then I thought, there is no way I'm going to get hired at Hollister because they have even higher standards than American Eagle. I really have no idea what to do. The economy is screwing every big company and I do not think I have a shot at getting a job anywhere else. People are losing their jobs left and right but these stores (Hollister, A and F, American Eagle) still hire kids no matter the time of year. They are always hiring as I have been told. I would LOVE to work at one of those stores and I know I meet their requirements. I am good looking, have a nice personality, and have good grades in school as well (honor roll etc). I don't think there is any reason why they wouldn't hire me, but I just don't know what to do. Can someone who is currently an employee give me advice? Can someone tell me how to get over this shyness? What do you guys think I can do to help my current situation? Is there anyway I can get the job with my condition? Do they give any type of training? Is this just the age or something? Just any type of advice on trying to get the confidence to apply there or something. Please someone help me out. I will give a best answer, no doubt about it. Thanks guys.

  • Answer:

In order to work at Hollister, American Eagle, or Abercrombie you must be a homosexual ******, you must be socially annoying, come from a high class family (lowest is middle class), dress like a typical exaggerated homo.
