Can I use goggles given in theatres for playing 3D games in my pc ??.my pc supports 3D movies and games.?

    Yes you can play 3d movies and games if you have red-cyan gogs. For movies you need special player like "Stereoscopic Player" , for games you can install software like "iz3d" .Both software can convert simple content to Anaglyph 3D which you can enjoy with red-cyan glasses.

I guess they might work if you have a monitor that outputs in passive 3D, but most 3D displays these days use active 3D which requires special glasses, usually ones that come with the display. Without a 3D monitor and the right glasses for it, you won't be able to play 3D movies or games.

No. The movie 3D glasses use polarization to present distinct images to separate eyes. Your monitor doesn't do that. It uses timing instead (i.e. shutter glasses).
