How do i clean my psp's analog stick?

Whats wrong with my xbox controllers analog stick?

  • I just bought a brand new xbox controller and the right analog stick has a huge dead zone. The left stick works fine. I'm playing cod and I noticed there's a difference in sensitivity. On the left stick I can go from walking very slow to a steady walk and running but on the right stick when I'm aiming I have to move the stick about a 1/4 inch before the gun will move and it's making my aiming twitchy. Is there a way to calibrate it or do I have to take it apart.

  • Answer:

If you take it apart, you lose whatever warranty you have with purchase of the item. I recommend returning it to the store, as it sounds like it simply doesn't function properly. I'd say first of all, make sure the batteries in it are charged. Second, click both sticks (I assume you know what I mean by that, press them in until you hear a click) and make sure the right one wasn't just slightly raised. Third, with the console off, roll both sticks in full circles, pop the sticks up and then back in again and generally just loosen them up a bit, perhaps even blow into the right socket on the off chance there is grit in there. Once all that's done, plug it in. Same problem? Return it. Fixed? I am a genius.
