Ok so i unlocked avatar stuff for the xbox 360 but i cant get a avatar!?

My friend never had internet for his xbox and he has a avatar. He said that there are some games that you can play to unlock a avatar what games are they? HELP!

Answer:
you can create an avatar for each profile on the xbox. press the guide button and got to far right / profile settings / customize avatar.
