How do I put music on my Xbox 360?

  • I have a Xbox slim and I was wondering how to put music on it, I plugged my iPod into it but nothing showed up

    You press the guide button go to the right where it says media then to the bottom it says select music, two things should show: hard drive and your ipod. Select your ipod you can either press play all our select your music by albums, artist, saved playlists etc. if you want to hear all songs make sure to press play all on the white part of the guide otherwise it will only play the song you choose. To change your music while playing just go back to select music and do your thing. Also you could press any of the buttons under select music to change a song. Music player option which is above select music will kick you from your game. How I helped :)

USB drives can only stream music to your 360. You have to download the Optional Media Update from Xbox Live to stream from an iPod and it can't be a Touch or iPhone. To actually put music onto your 360 from an outside source, you have to rip it from a CD and your 360 must have a hard drive to do so.

Milk84 above me is right... I would just add that the iPod Touch is not compatible with the 360 at all.
