Can you really make any money from youtube video ads?

I know they will pay you a certain amount but how much would you make like per hit, comment, etc.?

The reward is based on how much expensive ads youtube gives you ( if youtube gets more money than ordinary ads by ad publisher than it is expensive,based on how much popular your videos are.). If a user clicks on ad more than half profit youtube will gain and some amount of that you will be given to you (but you must have a adsense account on google). there is no money for comments, ratings and subscriptions. Only ad clicking gives you money.

You sure can! The top youtubers make a pretty good living just off youtube and most get sponsors from that which is more money. I made a decent amount in one month all because one video got a million views. You got money based on views and clicks, not just clicks. http://youtube.com/user/chaoticmatters
