Why does my browser keep redirecting me?

Why Does Google Keep Redirecting me to Spam Sites?

  • This started about a week ago, Every time i write something on google and click on any link, I get redirected to some spam site that just copies and pastes what i wrote on Google and says "You searched for....". I have no Control over it and its very annoying, AND on top of this, Every now and Then a Pop-up comes up with some product i don't care about. And this happens for Everything in my Computer, Explorer, Firefox, Chrome. Everything keeps doing the redirecting thing and pop-ups. I used Malware to Scan my computer, Full Scan, and it found 3 trojan virus', I got rid of em and restarted, and its still doing the Redirecting thing. I did have something in my computer called Dealio Toolbar and uninstalled it and ran Malware Scan, and Nothing seems to be working. Whats wrong and What do I do? Also its not just google, Bing and Ask do the same thing. So please dont say to Just use another browser or different means of search

  • Answer:

The Google Redirect Virus is not actually a virus. It's a rootkit. TDSSKiller is designed to kill it. Try this: Firstly, boot your computer to the Safe Mode menu screen. You do this by repeatedly pressing F8 as soon as you boot up. Once there, use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode with Networking. Continue to boot from there, by pressing Enter. If that's successful, download and run TDSSKiller.exe from Kaspersky Lab. It's tiny, and takes just a minute to run. It hunts down and kills a specific family of rootkits: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684 Regardless of the results, download the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM). Install it, get updates and run a full scan (still in Safe Mode). This is a direct download link: http://www.myantispyware.com/mbam After that, boot normally and run another full scan with MBAM. It will detect any malware that wasn’t running in Safe Mode. If the problem still exists, download and run the free Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/utility You should now delete TDSSKiller.exe and the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, as updated versions are often made available. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can be easily uninstalled, should you wish to do so, but it may prove to be beneficial in the future. Hope this helps.

You have a browser redirect virus, possibly a root kit! You can try using malwarebytes to remove it, 9 times out of 10 this will do the job. You can also try following a removal guide like the one below, good luck!

you have either downloaded to many things that you dont want or need or have loads of viruses, option 1: go to your control panel, select uninstall a program and delete the ones you dont need option2:reset you computer to an earlier date
