How much does a belly button piercing hurt?

For me it hurt like a 2 or a 3 but it depends on each person, because to my friend it hurt like a 6 or so and she got her nose pierced aswell and she says that the nose piercing hurts more than the belly button piercing. You only feel the needle going through your belly button and just a little pinch but it's not so bad. To me it cost about 30 $ but it may cost more or less depending on the place you go to.

It hurt about a 3 for me. They clean and mark where you want the piercing, clamp it, and put the needle through. They pull out the needle while inserting the jewelry. It's usually $30-60. If it's $60, you're probably getting ripped off. It hurts more than your nose, but it's really quick, so you hardly have time to think about whether or not it hurts. It will be sore after, but it won't be searing pain. Just a little sting.

Okay, so I'm going to be very straight forward here.. Yeah, the pain level IS always depended on the person's pain tolerance level, but to be honest its just a pinch and then it's over! On a scale of 1-10, for me it hurt around a 4 the first time I got it done. It doesn't hurt..but it does burn a bit after it gets pierced. The process is pretty simple! Here in NY, at a professional shop, it went like this: -You go to the shop, tell them what you want pierced or tattooed. -They tell you the price, and make you sign a form. (if you're under-aged like me, then you have to take a state issued I.D, and your parent/guardian, with a matching I.D as well) -You wait! -The piercer comes to get you, and he explains the process (sterilization of the needle, pain level, the steps he will take, such as disinfection of the area that will be pierced, if he uses clamps or not, things like that.) -After an ink dot, you breathe in an out, and the needle goes through! It cost my mom exactly 83.75$. 40 for the piercing and 40 for the jewelry. Now. BIG MISTAKE...is to take it out, or have it the ball fall off. Getting it re-pierced hurt. I'd even say an 11, out of 10. Scar tissue builds up, and its really hard+thick. My piercer was struggling, but thank god he was a professional! Make your decision right, I had a personal issue,and had to take it out because it couldn't be kept in without the little screw on ball. The first time, I went to some shop on a little street called St.Marks place, where they pierce minors. The guy pierced it crooked!-I didn't even notice. Compared to a nose piercing (which I have), I'd say that it's not AS painful, because it's just skin. Nose=cartilage. All in all, if you want to get it, make sure nothing will happen to it, and get it done professionally, because: Good work ain't cheap. Cheap work ain't good. Good luck!
