How deep do scratches have to be to leave scars?

How can I make scars/scratches on my body go away faster?

• I have many scars and scratches on my belly and arms from when I did self harm (which was not too long ago, maybe like 2 weeks ago.) I really regret them now. They were not deep, but you can still see them... I really want to go bathing suit shopping with my mom, but if she sees them she'll go nuts. I just want them to go away! I have been putting on cocoa butter lotion, but i still see them :/ Help? Any fast solutions?
