How do i go about becoming a tattoo artist?

• im 16 years old and recently i just got my first tattoo. from the moment i walked in the shop i knew for a fact that tattooing is what i want to do for a living. ive always been a good artist. ever since i was little ive been drawing for fun and stuff but i really never thought about getting into tattooing till now. everything about it just amazes me. idk how else to explain it but i love it. while i was getting my tattoo i just kept picturing myself in the artist's shoes. having my own shop, giving people just what they want, making art! i just love it. now my question is. how do i go about being a tattoo artist? im a freshman in highschool.... lol it sounds rediculous but i really want to be a tattoo artist. ive always been into tattoos and piercing but im just now realizing that its what i wanna do! how do i start? what do i have to do? should i just buy a tattoo gun and some ink and start tattooing my friends for free as practice? .... i know i can get in serious trouble for that. but if thats what it takes i dont even care. im so passionate about this. ive never felt so confident about something before. im gonna start taking art cources in school and when i graduate im probly gonna end up going to college for some sort of art. i just need to know how i can go about becoming a tattoo artist. please give me all the information u have. i wanna know EVERYTHING.

  It's awesome that you're so passionate about tattooing and such. Take that passion and throw your self into researching what it takes to become one. Call a tattoo parlor and ask if you can interview an artist. See about gettimg an apprenticeship. Good luck!
