What are the FBLA individual competitive events like?

Any ideas for an FBLA member running for a historian~speech?

• I am running for a officer in FBLA at my school, and I am considering being a historian. My speech is tomorrow and I havent even written it down yet. I need help in what kind of pattern should my speech be, what new ideas should I put in, how can I make it funny, and most important- How can I make it in a way that I get accepted for the FBLA officer? Al Plz Help! I have no idea what to do, feel free to write it, give samples, examples, or what you said in your speech. Also how should I begin my speech? Should it be "Good Morning everyone, I am ...... and I am running for your FBLA historian next yr"? The students that are FBLA members at my school will be the audience, and more than half of them are just there just to check in to the meeting so they will have something for there college resumes. So I also want my speech in such a way that they will get into it and like it. Our speeches are supposed to be 2 to 3 minute long, I think.

  You should make it a three-part speech: 1. Tell them a little about yourself. 2. Tell them why you would make a good officer for the Future Business Leaders of America. 3. Then ask them to vote for you.
