What is the best way to study for PSAT and SAT?

Help me make an awsome SAT study plan!!!?

  • I am taking the SAT for the first time about 4 weeks from now, and I want to get something that is at least in the 1900 range but hopefully a little higher. I have a few study books and I have gotten a mid-1800 on a practice test and a high 170 on the PSAT, but I’m not really sure about what would be the most effective way and amount to study in this amount of time. Any tips or help would be appreciated! I am willing to spend more than an hour studying most days.

  • Answer:

I got a 2330 on the SAT @ sophomore year, on my first try. I spent the entire summer, 2 - 3 hours per day for 4 days in a week, focused on it. The "secret" to a getting a good score on SAT is just brute repetition. Take AS MANY practice tests as you can. Do drills and exercises. You will become much more familiar with the pattern of questions that they give you; you will get familiar with new vocab (for CR section), and new concepts for the Math & Writing sections. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND MORE! Repetition is the key to victory! Good luck!

Put your heart, mind, and soul into it. You should be studying about 2-3 hours everyday until the day of the test. Try to focus on your weakest part of the test (Critical Reading, Math, Writing, etc.), but also try to perfect on your strongest subject.GOOD LUCK!!
