How to prepare for Screening Test?

I have screening test for Research. I am damn confused. How to prepare the slide for the screening test? How many slides i should prepare? Do I have to talk about broad area of Research or about specific problem where i am planning to research? If I present specific area does not mean that without conducting research, How could i talk about such issues specifically without background information? 1. Everyone please give me suggestions about how should i go about preparing for the screening test? 2. Does Research means finding unknown? If So how that it is possible? . Or Does Research means finding fault with existing system and providing solutions for it? 3. What is expected of me or What should i supposed to do for my screening test? Please Guide me .. Advance thanks for your time and effort I will be waiting for your reply... Please help me out! Regards.
