Is the COMPASS test hard?

What happen if I fail a section for the COMPASS test ?

  • I'm starting school in June and I have to do my pre reqs for my Nursing program. Before I do all of that I have to take the COMPASS test. I just wanted to know how hard the math section will be ? What they will be testing on ? What will happen if I failed it twice ? I have really bad test anxiety and I hate math !! So if anyone can give me some feedback on how it is, that will be great !! Thanks in Advance :)

Honestly, relax. I'm in the same situation as you. For the COMPASS test, they are generally 3 sections in math and english, and they test you on each section, and let's just say... if you do bad in all 3 sections of math, then you'll need to take 3 remedial classes, and if you do bad in 2 sections of math, then only 2 remedial classes, and same with the english. Honestly, I know it kinda sucks to hear that but you can still move on with time, you just gotta do it, it's basic algebra... and trust me algebra isn't hard and I used to think it was because I wasn't taught very well, just don't be intimidated. and be confident (: and good thing you're starting this summer too.. you'll be ahead. Just really be confident in yourself, I know you can ACE the English part so don't worry about it. and if any chance, take online classes if they're offered in math. Much much easier, well it kinda depends on how you wanna learn but I find online easier. It's kinda funny how we're in the same situation.
