Renting a transportable Electric Scooter?

Renting a scooter for the day in Italy?

  • When I go to Italy I would like to rent a scooter, to get around italy faster then walking (hopefully lol) and for fun. I am fifteen. I know people say it isn't right to ride scooters at 15. I am willing to take the risk, of course I would be silly. I know scooters aren't designed to go that fast anyway. I also know a friend who is 15 and italian and he rides around on scooters all the time. Now can someone tell me if I would be able to rent a scooter for the day? If it helps I look older then 15 (16-17 in some peoples eyes)

Hello) - As said above, in italy you can drive a scooter on pubblic roads from the age of 14 - You need to pass a small exam, anyway, and have a sort of license. you should check if you can get that license where you live, if in EU it' accepted, else you need to translate it with international license - You might find dealer that will rent you the scooter even without license. they will keep a warranty, in case of damages, from your credit card. In case you crush, without license, insurance will not cover the damages and you will be in big trouble - moreover, if police stops you, without licence, again you will have problems) if you want to enjoy riding, you can go inside a track (we have many. for kart and mini-moto or big one for powerful enginees) and rent like a minimoto or a scooter. They will give you gloves and all security clothes and it's going to be lot of fun) ciao and wroom wroooommmm))

In italy people can ride scooters from the age of 14. They need to take a basic test for the licence (licence A). In your case, I don't think you are allowed to rent a scooter, because as a tourist you will need a valid full driving licence even for a scooter under 50cc. Considering from what you write... I think is better you don't drive in Italy.
