Where's the best place to go on holiday in Italy for a relaxing beach, nice town and restaurants/bars?

Looking for a nice holiday in Italy which is preferably on the beach (or ideas of hotels with nice pools?) in walking distance of a nice town which has a few shops and restaurants and bars. Reasonably quiet but not too rural. Thanks

I know some good place in Italy where you can stay on the beach and has some pools in resorts, not too rural and there are also shopping centers as well as restaurant and beaches. You can find a place like this in Palermo in Italy. Great city and great beautiful spots. The beaches are as clear as the crystal, the night life there is great also and I'm sure you will enjoy your stay there.
