Is this a megalodon tooth?

I found a huge shark tooth at a trip to the beach. Its sides were chipped off making it smaller but if it was a whole shark tooth it would probably fit in my entire hand. Is this a megalodon tooth???

I highly doubt it. If it were a Megalodon tooth, it would be more than 1.5million years old (that's older than Bill Dance!). Any artifact that old wouldn't just be laying on a beach.... Maybe it's a souvenir recreation or the tooth from something completely different. Pics would help a lot.
