Is it difficult to study in Germany?

GERMANY: Where is the best place to study in Germany?

I'm a student from Malaysia and currently doing my intensive German Language studies at a Hochschule in Deggendorf. I found that this place is so quiet and not alive like in Malaysia. It's like from 8 pm onward there is nothing to do in here. I'm planning to go for either Automotive or Mechanical Engineering in Germany and I want the place i will be living happening and alive, near to the airports and easy to find public transportation. But I am also looking for a place that is affordable for a student and reasonable cost of living. I have look over Munich and Cologne. They are quite okay but the house rental is quite expensive. Any other idea for places in Germany? Please help me.

Sure ,berlin would be the best. It offers very good universities,/freie universität) an amazing nightlife,very good transport system,and well it's berlin there is nothing more to say , In my opinion the most fascinating and interesting city in the world.
