How did he know im a lesbian!?

  • So tonight im telling my mom im a lesbian(wish me luck!) and so yesterday i decided to tell my brother because were pretty close and hes going to hs next year and hes old enough to know whats going on(hes 13 and im 16) so we were walking to the library to return some books and i said mike i have to tlk to u about something. He was like oh god dont tell me is it bad? I said no its not bad. Im not pregnant or on drugs and he was like oh so youre a lesbian? I was SPEECHLESS. I seriously had no idea how he knew i was like how did u know? And hes like im ur brother i know u better than anyone else. Which is true but still. I dont do anything to show it. Im very pretty and feminine and girly(im actually girly, im not just pretending to hide that im a lesbian) and i talk to guys (i hide that im a lesbian but im coming out oficially) and so i have no idea how he would know. Ive done things with girls but not in front of him. He said it was because of my i dont care what u say attitude and im kinda like a HEY GUYS! kinda outgoing person if u know what i mean. I didnt think it had anything to do with that though but okay. Also, when i had boyfriends i actually did things with them. Like we would hold hands and do sexual things and i cried when i broke up with my last boyfriend(probably because i lost someone in my life in general) so it makes it even MORE difficult to believe that he knew. My bestfriend said she knew too. Why is this? Do u think my mom will see it coming too? Does the whole world know? Am i really THAT obvious? Please help! Sorry for all the questions guys. Im just really nervous about coking out. P.s ill probably keep posting this depending on the amount of answers i get. Thanks in advance! Xoxo

    As for your brother he might of just guessed and then he just pretended to know whats going on or maybe overhead u talking one day, but does it really matter didn't him knowing made iy easier to talk about?! And people always find things out about others through gossip or maybe they just notice something different ..I am not sure how it works and as for telling ur mom ..I wish u luck. Idk how ur mom reacts to tgings like tat but mine would be pretty upset on other hand ur mom might think its just a stage in ur life ..just don't throw to much information at her at once ..and if u like guys also wouldn't that make u more bi than lesbian ambut then again most girls are bi even though they don't realise it Hope u helped! hi Sorry, but this won't be the last time people know things about you long before you know. :-( It's because you are 'in' the situation and others are not so involved then they can notice some small thing that tell lots. pay attention and you'll see how this works with others. my friend and i use to say we could handle eachothers problems just not our own. :-) life is interesting.

Yeah It's funny how people around us seem to know things about us that we didn't even know they knew. Sometimes though it doesn't seem obvious to us something we say or do that seems perfectly natural can give away information about who we are to people we are close to. Your mum may or may not know that your a lesbian, the only way to find out is tell her and see what her reaction is. If you look back and she's said anything out of the ordinary, for example as though she's trying to coax you into telling her by reassuring you that you can tell her anything, etc that's a stronger indication that she may know.
