How to delete contacts from yahoo messenger?

I have been trying to delete contacts from yahoo messenger and every time I log back it there all back. I have deleted them in Messenger 10 by highlighting them right clicking and clicking on delete. I also deleted them from the address book in yahoo mail but they are still in yahoo messenger. I have a few yahoo messenger accounts and this the only one having this problem. Please help
Answer:

from yahoo mail at the top of the screen by where you sign in click options and chose messenger options, go into privacy and u decide from there. Having said that I deleted people from there in January and somehow they have been able to contact me again recently
