How much wood do I need to make a subwoofer box?

Need help making subwoofer box?

• i have one hifonics brz12sqd4 subwoofer. im looking to make a slot ported box. when i look in the manual it tells me how but i dont understand how to make it. like how long each side and stuff has to be. HERE IS WHAT THE DIRECTIONS SAY.... box volume- 3.5 -cubic feet FB- 46 -hz port size(height)- 12.5 -inches port size(width)- 4 -inches port length- 22.6 -inches f3- 35 -hz please tell me how to do this and what this means!!!!!?????

• Answer:

  port size height is how tall and wide the hole is for the subwoofer.. width is the size of the port hole. lenght is how long the box is right to left. the -hz doesnt really matter. and you can make the height of the box to fix in your trunk. i hope i helped. also use 3/4 inch medium density fiber wood. you can get it from lowes.
