Now, i gotta ask..if you were an artist or just wanna be one how should it manifest that?

this may be just a bit off topic, but I HATE BEING AN ARTIST. This is for the same reason I hate playing yu-gi-oh. I hate how everyone els who is an artist (or plays yugioh) has an influence on it in such a way that I get grouped into because im part of it. In yugioh, everyone thinks im bad at it because I like to use cards that look cool and are fun, where as other people use the latest cards, thus making there be more and more unfair cards, and even though I hate it I'm just one person, and have no effect on the mainstream of things. Thereby, I keep getting deeper into it and it just gets worse, I try talking to other people about what they are doing, and yet it is to no avail, because their egos wont allow them to listen. And so I get treated as if I am just like everyone els who plays, and even if i try to talk to someone who is grouping me in with other players, they just think nothing of it. Same with being an artist. I am not a pro or anything, I'm only 12. But anyway, people just treat me (when I'm in "artist mode" lol (as in im drawing at the time) as if I'm this creative fricken soul, and my work needs to be like put in a magic isometric cube where it can't be harmed, even if im just doing a rough sketch. Also I hate almost EVERY artist out there, whether it be because their the kind of "artist" that just throws paint on a wall and acts like a protege, and makes yet another person a know-it-all about art, just because they say that they see something in paint splatters. Or if the "artist" is one who just sits in his house pretending he is an outcast, like an attention grabbing annoyance. That is why I hate being an artist, because I get treated like one of those "artists" quite a bit. BTW I am a manga artist, even though in an American. (lol) The only person who treats me normal when I'm in "artist mode" is my friend. He, in fact is helping me with my current manga. I would say more, but I'm gonna go to bed.

I think everyone should do their art any way that makes them be able to accomplish what they are trying to accomplish. In whichever way they need to go about it.
