Near death three times. First, I had a really bad fever and my temperature got to over a hundred. They had to dip me in ice water to cool down and hospitalised me for sometimes. Don't really remember it though. Second, I've reach puberty and swim in a sea on an island and got carried away by wave into high sea. Had to swim almost three kilometres ashore. On the way back the wave blew me out again and agian. I almost gave up many times until my feet touched the ground. The third time was really bad that I won't tell.

Chernobyl No, I wasn't there, I'm not Ukranian. But when my family lived in Germany the bus broke down on the side of the rode and there was this old german man who told us about travelling through Pripyat and being stuck there overnight. He was an amazing story teller, though behind stuck on the roadside on a late forest night didn't brighten the experience. The images, they stuck in my mind, then when I went home I looked up the pictures and my imagination took over. It haunts me even now.

13 years ago I came home and my dad said he had to talk to me... I sat on his lap and he explained that he was moving out and he and my mother were getting a divorce. I just didn't understand and it wasn't explained very well. My family life seemed average and perfect, but it all fell apart this day. After the divorce, my parents hated each other...my mother fell into a pattern with abusive men and I just felt all alone and sad. It still makes me ache to this day........ but we are all much better now. It made me stronger and it made me a better mother and wife. It made me who I am and I love me :)

I was just 6 yrs old when my father was killed in a bad automobile accident. I remember going to the funeral home and seeing him laid out in the casket and wondering why he would not wake up and talk to me. That memory is as vivid now as when it happened. Then a few days later we stopped by the little truck stop where is small white car had been towed and I got to see it. It was folded up like an accordian. That memory, too, is very vivid in my mind. And that happened in July of 1963.

I was a temper child... I always cried and was having tantrums, until I was 11. I think it was because my parents left me at a day care I hated for years, every march break, summer holiday... now I'm an emotional wreck.

When my aunt's drunk husband threatened suicide on their front lawn and I had to go with my mom because my aunt needed her and my dad was in the hospital at the time. I was too little to stay home and my mom needed the car a safe distance from the house but close enough so she could keep an eye on me. It was a mess with cops there and everything. I was in first grade and it was dismissal time and I told the teacher that I had to throw up and she told me to wait until I got home. I had to run home (4 streets) and then get to the bathroom before I could throw up. A girl punched me in the stomache because I wouldn't let her ride my tricycle Everything made me feel helpless....what color or pattern does helpless look like?
