Could you give me vocal advice?

Please...please...please.. don't give any advice ?

  • my friend is very kind hearted. He is my collegue. He will give small loans and will get back on salary day. No problem in this, since all are returning the amount to him promptly. The problem is me..yes.. i am the problem. seeing all this, i told him.. see, friend, i appreciate you for lending loan to others and at the same time you are making them by not taking amount to home in full, since they give the part salary amount. so, give them loan with small change..if anyone asks 1000, give him 500. if any ask for 500, give him 250. nice idea, my adopted to follow my advice. he done it. one day, it was out of bank time and i need urgently money and i approched my friend and went to his home and asked to give 5000. He went inside and brought the amount and gave it to me. on counting, i find 2500. i asked 5000, but it is only 2500 for which my friend said. i am acting according to your advice. i jerked a back. i decided not to give advice .Giving advice is right ? or wrong ?

Giving advice is not right or wrong in and of itself. What happened was that you expected your friend to treat you differently than the others to whom he lent money. He is actually in the right. Always remember, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, AND FRIENDSHIP IS FRIENDSHIP. In business matters, don't expect to be treated differently because you are his friend.

Did you honestly expect him to make an exception for you, just because you initially gave him that advice? Next time ask for 10,000. You'll get the 5,000 you need and be happy. Or just mind your own business and let him mind his.

Athai, I had a similar problem with my ex-spouse. She was a mild annoyance, but she had a heart of some kind; I just don't know what kind. When I discovered she was inclined to give me headaches, I thought that she should experience 2 headaches for each headache I felt. As alert as a drunk in a in a Vodka factory, she somehow thought that I was simply being a pain in the assterior and preceeded to give me twice as many headaches as before. I had no choice but to up HER headache quotient. I really wanted to give her advice, but I remembered something my dad told me as he lay bleeding on the sidewalk from a knife wound in the torso after he tried to intervene in a purse snatching, " don't go lookin' fer trouble 'til trouble comes lookin; fer you!" My dad was wrong. I was not. Pasquale? Uh, well. . .
