Can a person who has been blind from birth dream of images?

Please help with this what does a blind person see when they dream(especially if blind from birth)?

  • I would of course need a blind persons answer to truly validate this and not just an opinion by a sighted person such as i. So please if you have read this you have not got a true answer but im hoping it can be answered

    I am not blind but have worked with many blind people in my career. Firstly, there are very few truly blind people; most can see at least something, even if it's only shadows. Secondly, there are many interface tools that exist for people with sight problems so that they can use PCs and many other forms of technical equipment. Thirdly, that's a great question, and I wish I'd thought to ask it while still able to get an answer! I no longer work in that field unfortunately, so can't help you.

When you get a blind person to see and answer that question on here..then i'd be very interested in knowing that very same question.

I wonder how i can see images of places and faces that i have never been or seen when i dream... If i were blind would my wonder be more understandable or more confusing... The question is...not of what we see in our dream ... but how we are left to feel of the experience the dream leaves upon us. Ask a blind man your question, of course. But do not cloud the fact that a blind person is as sensitive as sighted people and therefore you must firstly ask...about the dream experience as you would do with anyone else.

Dreams come from the mind, so I would imagine that a blind person would see what his imagination gives him/her. If not blind from birth from memory.
