What things do women do that a man mistakes as flirting?

Being Friendly. Even my boyfriend sometimes accuses me of flirting when i'm just being polite.

If a guy likes you he'll turn anything into flirting because he wants it to be. Call him a dirty so-and-so and he'll think you only got that worked up because deep down you really like him.

It could be anything really. Once I was chatting with a gay guy at a nightclub, and both his friends and my friends were sitting at the same table. I was only trying to be friendly, there was no touching or batting of eyelids and such but he surprised the heck out of me when he got a worried look on his face and said to me that my attention was flattering but did I know that he was gay? Omg......Last thing on my mind trying to flirt with a gay guy....

I think just smiling and being nice can be mistaken for flirting. Or even just saying HI.

yep...any kind of touching, and being clingy or giggly is always misconstrued.

a smile can be misconstrued

Wearing blush and lipstick that are even a little more red than your cheeks and lips. It tells a specific part in a mans brain that you are interested in him! Any kind of actual contact especially during a joke. Smiling at someone much more than anyone else. Any conversation about sex. Touching a mans crotch (I used to work in a really small kitchen and by quiting time I could not even think straight) even if it is accidental! There are a lot more too but I am too tired to list them all. I have concluded that women never intentionally flirt with men and I used to go out with someone based on looks brains and personality! I have since then given up on the whole thing all together just as a lot of other men my age have done. I'm 30 BTW. You can only try so long!
