Which movie was Jean Stapleton AKA Edith Bunker starring in?

Please help find great old magazine article on equal relationships by Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker).?

  • The article was many years ago. perhaps 20 years and encouraged women to take on responsibility as the flip side to asking for equality in relationships. It was in a popular magazine. It could have been Parade magazine. I have not been able to find a good way to search for a magazine article by author.

    Kate O'Beirne who wrote a book on "Women Who Make the World worse." Jean Stapleton is mentioned in her book i believe. That was back in the 70's. There is also the magazine called the "The Austin Chronicle" which talks about Jean in her performance as "Eleanor" Wish i could be of more help. Good luck with the rest of answers. Take care.

The only thing I can think of is to contact Ms. Stapleton directly. If you go to the main branch of your public library you should be able to find a directory of celebrities (containing mailing addresses - so fans can write to them). I would guess that Ms. Stapleton still retains a personal assistant who does this (she is 85 now). The problem is you have so little information: I would otherwise have sent you to consult the 'Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature" author index - but what YEAR?? Forget it!
