What would be a good career with a Administration and Health Degree (A.A)?

Is the content covered in an undergraduate psychology degree applicable to a career as a health psychologist?

• Hi everyone, I'm 21 years old and am currently in my third year of my undergraduate degree in Australia. I hope to continue on to do Honours, and then a double Doctorate in clinical and health psychology. I find that a lot of the content covered in my course is very dry and theoretical. I often find myself wondering how this will be applicable once I'm out in the work force. We hardly earn any practical skills. I suppose this is why it's difficult to find a decent job once graduated with only an undergraduate degree. So, I have some questions: - Is the content covered in an undergraduate psychology degree applicable and useful to a career as a health psychologist or a career in health psychology? - Is the content covered in an undergraduate psychology degree applicable and useful to a career as a clinical psychologist or a career in clinical psychology? - Is it more the skills and knowledge that is acquired in postgraduate studies that is applicable and useful in a psychology career? - How applicable and useful is the content covered in an undergraduate psychology degree to postgraduate studies?   Undergraduate is kind of useless, honestly. But it is necessary for most jobs and for grad school. You can major in any social science or physical science and then go on an advanced degree in psych. Grad school will give you much more practical application. Undergraduate is mostly just an intro to general theories and doesn't provide much practical skills outside of academia. Me: Undergrad in Sociology, then worked as a crisis counselor with my undergrad degree, then returned to school for a PhD in Applied Social Psychology.
