How to make a giant egg for this Easter?

Does your family make traditional dyed Easter eggs? Have ever been given a real egg for Easter?

  • One thing my mum has always done ( which I still love) is make a ton of dyed Easter eggs. I have very fond memories of us kids cracking them on each other and gorging on them.

  • Answer:

Greek orthodox family. Take a guess. Added Sorry, just realised that "sounded" rude. Didn't mean it to. @Additional Details I'm not a believer myself, but yep, it's a lovely set of ceremonies and quite a do. You need to go to Greece sometime for it if you can. They're nuts though so be ready to avoid fireworks just been thrown about.

No egg was safe, every unattended egg in the house was fair game. Now this year my kids run the show and did about 6 doz. I will be eating eggs for about 3 weeks.

No. However, I decided to dye them this year to get into the Easter spirit. Those same eggs are the ones I used to make deviled eggs with for Easter dinner. "I love the ritual of Easter in the Greek Orthodox Church - spent a long time with a Greek - the Easter food is sensational." --I've never set foot in one of those churches, but it does sound interesting.

I've been doing them for a while, as well as painting them. Love the ceremony in the the Orthodox Church, especially the singing on the part of the Priest with answers from the Deacon.

My girlfriend gave me one of her eggs today.. Lets just say the red liquid wasn't food dye.
