Can someone explain the whole economy crisis to me?

I'm sorry I can't help you. I'm just glad I'm in the "lower middle class" and don't have any money in the stock market. I can't wait for the questions about "feeding a family of 4 on $50 a week" show up. Then I'll be the genius.

I'm not really sure about it either. My dad and my history teacher don't explain it very well and I don't watch the news much either. I do know that my dad invested his retirement in the stock market so he's a little worried. I'm not sure, but i think it might have something to do with the government lending out too much money and then printing more money then they should and causing inflation or something like that, but I don't know how that has to do with the stock market. Kinda confusing. I do know that the economy is really bad and it would be a good idea to have already invested in gold and silver, because their money value doesn't go down, and if it gets really bad, it would be good to have some food storage. Times will have to get worse before they get better.
